It is more commonly Anglicized as Gilmore . Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Giolla Mhura ‘servant of Saint Mura (of Fahan in Donegal)’. This was an ecclesiastical family in Armagh no longer distinguishable from Mac Giolla Muire (see 1 above).
