“Heard on the Streets”
Word was received this week of the death of George Carratt, which occurred this week Monday, at Delborn, Alberta, Canada. It is understood the remains will be shipped to this city for burial. Mr. Carratt came to the Klickitat Valley in 1888, from Cherokee, Iowa. He was a well known stock man. Two years ago he moved up into Canada, where he has been making his home until his death. He leaves three daughters and two sons, Rachael Carratt, Goldendale; Elizabeth Bridgefarmer, Centerville, Mrs. John Tallman, Goldendale; Harry, at Bonners Ferry, Idaho and Benny, of Kansas. At the time of his death he was past 70 years of age.
