I live in Annapolis Md and I believe the original Seipp, George M., in my
family arrived in Baltimore about 1853. George settled in Locust point
Baltimore where he died 12/10/1900 at home. His children were
Edward August dob: 6/1859 dod 5/27/1920
Ellen Louise dob: 12/1851 dod 2/15/1934
George Washington 8/31/1856 dod 2/1/1918
Benjamin Franklin dob: abt 1854 dod 7/3/1894

Edward was my great grandfather.
I have substantial information on all except the George. W.
line. I have Geo. W's children from census records but not much more.

Lee, this is your cousin Tim. Glad I found you here. I recently received a piece of information indicating our common ancestor was George Edward Seipp and he was married to Elizabeth Louise Griffith. I think he is the one you found the obit. Death certificate for. When my grandfather, Arthur Guy Seipp, filed for his social security, those were the names he used for his mother and father.
I've been away from this for a while. Let me know how you are doing.

I was amazed to see your name, I am still fascinated by the internet.
I recently obtained a copy of Arthur Guy Seipp's application for a social security
car from the S.S. admin. in Baltimore. You evidently have the same source. I still find
it confusing in that the original Seipp, George Edward is listed as Geo. M. Seipp on his death
certifiate and the Baltimore City directories. The directories have him living with either
his sons Edward A. or George W. I recently received several other potential Seipp's from the
S.S. admin but I have not had time to sift through but hope to do so next week at which time I'll
forward what I have found.

Good to hear from you. I've been on the road, so this is my first chance to reply. My email is:
that will make it easier to communicate.
I've been trying to get sometime to search some more for records on my dad and his family, but it seems like every time I get to D.C. I'm tied up with meetings. Hope to get back there (with some spare time) in the spring.
I'll try and contact you via email before I leave so we can get together and compare notes.

I am looking for information on Henry and Dorothea Seipp. I believe they lived in Gillespie or Mason County in Texas 1868. They are my great great grandparents. I also believe they had a daughter by the name of Hilda or Hulda Seipp. Whose married name was Olsen. If you have info please post it on the message board. Thanks

I don't know anything about your Seipp, but I had a great-aunt named Cora L Harper. She was born on Feb. 6, 1888, in Grant Co., Wisconsin. Is this the same Cora Harper that you mentioned?
