I am looking for information about the Lubomirski's, because I am trying to do my genealogy. My great grandfather, Dmitry Lubomirsky came here to Argentina from Russia in 1920, but he never said nothing about his family. So it isn't easy to do the genealogy. If you want I can give you more information about the family, with the family tree up to now. I will thank a lot any help you can give. If you want to write me, my email is: noelubomir(at)gmail(dot)com.
Thank you,
Noemi

Kataryzna, I have e-mailed you and sought a new e-mail address for you for a couple of months now.

I am seeking information on the young woman referred to in this excerpt:

A family tragedy stopped him. His brother-in-law, Prince Adam Luborrvirski, was imprisoned and executed by the KGB in Ukraine, just as the Soviet army swept into Galicia and Poland in 1939. His sister, Princess Lubomirska, died as a result of her husband's murder leaving their daughter an orphan. At once, Rzewuski arranged through Queen Elena of Italy, that Stalin let the child go, and she finally came to see her uncle in Switzerland.

Thanks, Andrea

Hi Andre

Just stumbled across this. The Prince Adam Lubomirski you refer to must be Adam (1873-1940) and his 2nd wife Countess Ada Rzewuska (1893-1940) who had a daughter Princess Ada born 1928 who married 1950 Count Stanislaus Tarnowksi-Mecinski born 1918.

Hope this is of interest

Hi Noemi

I know someone who has done a whole bunch of research into various noble families including several of the famous Polish princely families of Radziwill, Czartoryski, Lubumirksi etc. Just had a quick look but couldn't find your Dimitry but then it may well be incomplete as it is only since the breakdown of the Iron Curtain that more information has come to light and families or branches that were thought to have perished under communism did indeed survive. Many, like your great grandfather moved to the US and South America to start completely new lives and lost touch with family.
Do you know anything about his parents or siblings at all ?

Thanks

Paul,

Thank you so much for your answer. By now all what I know is that Dimitri Lubomirsky came here in 1920. His parents names were: Nicolai Alexandrovich Lubomirsky (who died in
1918) and Lidia Rodionova Novicov (died in 1916). Their son, Dimitri, was born on January 25, 1887 in Uglich, Iaroslav, Russia. They had five more children: Nicolai Lubomirsky (born in 1883), Maria Lubomirsky (born in 1885), Victor Lubomirsky (born in 1895), Alexandra Lubomirsky born in 1897) and Olga Lubomirsky (born in 1898). They were Orthodox.

Thank you once more for your time and help,

Noemi

Hello,

My great-great grandmother was an illegimate child of a Lubomirski prince. He lived in the 19th century and had a close friend named Jozef Kurek; I was wondering if you could give me a list of Lubomirski princes from the 19th century to see if I can find him

Thanks,
Michael
