I'm currently assembling my family tree in an attempt to link together my lineages. I've always been told that the Cherokee woman named "Granny Jack" (no other known names or position in the family tree), married the Jewish Peddler man... And that is the only information we have up to this point. We have cousins that carry the physical traits of a possible Native American Lineage, and one even has the nickname "Cherokee" (please pardon the political incorrectness). While I haven't been able to exactly narrow down the timeframe in which she lived, somewhere between the early 1800's to early 1900's seems highly probable. And she should have married into my paternal lineage, so if this were the case, she would have carried the family name "RIttenhouse" as well. Any information on this would be so greatly appreciated!
