Nothing rude was being said to you. You weren't being insulted, you were being assisted.
People often misconstrue constructive criticism as being rude, and in fact it's merely a matter of effective practicality. Information in an enquiry that is clear, unambiguous, and laid out in a way that is easy to quickly grasp, comprehend, and absorb, is much more likely to get a successful response.
As for not seeing replies to your post, an automatic reply is sent both to your ancestry account, and to the offsite email account that you use for ancestry. Sometimes that system stops working properly, that has happened at least twice and for extended periods in the past couple of years. The most recent occurrence was early this year and it was finally rectified several months ago.
If an ancestry member clicks on the word ancestry at the left hand side of the black menu bar which is at the top of every page, they will be taken to the page which lists any replies to their message posts.
