In case it's helpful to your research, there are death notices and related clippings for a Barbara Nemec and a Joseph Nemec published in Milwaukee's German language newspapers in 1915 & 1919. The multiple clippings for Joseph are also found spelled Nemic.

These are found indexed in the local collection called "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).

Based on my experience in accessing these papers, I spent the time and $$ to create a date version of the printed index alongside the alphabetical version. The Nemec / Nemic spelling variations are an example of why it's important to look at both versions. There are also Nemitz spellings in the index. The date version is rarely used - and searching by date is rarely considered by the average family researcher.

There are Kubath spellings found in the index, and an entry in the index for a John Kubat, with connections to Stroselitz, Bohemia., originator/compiler/editor, Milwaukee Wis.
Indexing Milwaukee's German newspapers continuously since 2007... helping family researchers collect evidence contemporary with their historic German-American and other Central and Eastern European families.
