YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Joseph Edward Bartos, 79, passed away Saturday morning, July 19, 2014.

Joe was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Campbell, Ohio (Mahoning County) the son of Joseph Paul and Mary Franko Bartos.
He was a 1953 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, where he was honorably discharged.

Joe was employed at US Steel, Fitzsimmons Steel, Youngstown Steel Tank and later retired from the Waste Water Treatment Plant in 1988.
He served as a Precinct Committeeman for the City of Campbell, Ohio.

Joe was an avid sports enthusiast, who had a special love for the Browns, the OSU Buckeyes, and playing golf. '
He loved gardening, especially caring for his flowers, and he loved cars.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.
Joe had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed telling stories of his life.
Joe leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Patricia Day Bartos, whom he married May 5, 1962; his children, Ginny (Bob) Foster, Joann (John) Olson, Mary Bartos, and Joe Jr. (Alexis) Bartos; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ray, Lindsey, Sierra, Mia, Adrianna; his great-grandson, Brandon; and his sister, Agnes Schultz Sharshan, and her daughter, Janice Schultz.

He also leaves a large extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family wishes to thank all of the various care givers that made Joe feel more comfortable during his journey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, Ohio

The Bartos family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
