I am researching a mariner [died 1712/13] who bequeathed some papers to the [then] South Seas Company. I am trying to find the current location of the Company archives but, unfortunately, it is proving difficult to find anything useful on the Internet because of the wealth of information on the "Bubble". Does anyone know where the papers of the Company, and hence the Papers bequeathed to them, are held, please? It is possible that the Company's archive passed to another company hen it was wound up. Does anyone know what company this may have been, please?
