A Caron family household of at least 10 members residing in the district of Argenteuil was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Dolphes Caron, was born in Quebec in 1852. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 49, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Dolphes's wife was Ovite Caron, who was 36 years old. Ovite was born in Quebec in 1865. She also identified her heritage as French. Dolphes and Ovite had 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls. In 1881 their eldest child, a boy named Jérome, was born. Five years later, in 1886, when Dolphes was 34 years old and Ovite was 21 years old their second son, who was named Fédirne, was born. Then, in 1887, with their two older sons ages 6 years and 1 year, their third child, Delorète, was born. In 1901 another son, their fourth child and third boy, Joseph, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and fourth boy, Wilfred, was born in 1892. He was followed by 3 more children: their son Louis, born in 1894; their daughter Flaridas, born in 1895; and their daughter Eidas, born in 1900. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Caron family household was filled with 8 children whose ages were 1, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15, and 20 years.
