A Forest family household of at least 10 members residing in the district of Bagot was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Joseph Forest, was born in Quebec in 1853. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 47, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Joseph's wife was Justine Forest, who was 38 years old. Justine was born in Quebec in 1862. She also identified her heritage as French. Joseph and Justine had 8 children, 6 boys and 2 girls. In 1883 their eldest child, a girl named Claudia, was born. Two years later, in 1885, when Joseph was 32 years old and Justine was 23 years old their second daughter, who was named Noemie, was born. Then, in 1886, with their two older daughters ages 3 years and 1 year, their third child, Arthur, was born. In 1901 another son, their fourth child and second boy, Conrad, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and third boy, Louis, was born in 1892. He was followed by 3 more children: their son Henri, born in 1894; their son Evariste, born in 1897; and their son Hecter, born in 1898. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Forest family household was filled with 8 children whose ages were 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 14, 15, and 17 years.
