An Aquin family household of at least 8 members residing in the district of Hochelaga was recorded in 1901. The head of household, J Bte Aquin, was born in Quebec in 1855. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 46, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Machinist". J Bte's wife was Henriette Aquinn, who was 43 years old. Henriette was born in Quebec in 1858. She also identified her heritage as French. J Bte and Henriette had 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. In 1888 their eldest child, a girl named Rosa, was born. Two years later, in 1890, when J Bte was 35 years old and Henriette was 32 years old their second child, this time a son, who was named Johny, was born. Then, in 1892, with their two children ages 4 years and 2 years, their third child, Emeile, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child and second girl, Emilia, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and third boy, Henri, was born in 1896. He was followed by 1 more child: their son Albert, born in 1900.
