A LeDuc family household of at least 11 members residing in the district of Hochelaga was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Alphonse LeDuc, was born in Quebec in 1844. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 57, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Douanier". Alphonse's wife was Mariè LeDuc, who was 47 years old. Mariè was born in Quebec in 1854. She also identified her heritage as French. Alphonse and Mariè had 9 children, all girls. In 1874 the eldest girl, Marie Louise, was born. Two years later, in 1876, when Alphonse was 32 years old and Mariè was 22 years old their second daughter, who was named Eugenie, was born. Then, in 1878, with their two older daughters ages 4 years and 2 years, their third daughter, Leontine, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child, Antoimette, was born. With four other daughters in the household, their fifth child, Oliva, was born in 1882. She was followed by 4 more children: their daughter Anna, born in 1884; their daughter Beatrice, born in 1892; their daughter Eveline, born in 1894; and their daughter Gilberthe, born in 1896.
