A Forest family household of at least 15 members residing in the district of Joliette was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Henri Forest, was born in Quebec in 1863. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 38, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Henri's wife was Oduild Forest, who was 36 years old. Oduild was born in Quebec in 1864. She also identified her heritage as French. Henri and Oduild had 13 children, 6 boys and 7 girls. In 1884 their eldest child, a boy named Adrien, was born. Two years later, in 1886, when Henri was 23 years old and Oduild was 22 years old their second child, this time a daughter, who was named Maximilienne, was born. Then, in 1888, with their two children ages 4 years and 2 years, their third child, Lucien, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child and second girl, Ivonne, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and third girl, Hortense, was born in 1890. She was followed by 8 more children: their daughter Florence, born in 1891; their son Edouard, born in 1892; their daughter Marie, born in 1895; their son Pictorien, born in 1896; their son Etienne, born in 1897; their daughter Bernadette, born in 1898; their daughter Adrienne, born in 1899; and their son Gean, born in 1900.
