A Piette family household of at least 9 members residing in the district of Joliette was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Napoleon Piette, was born in Quebec in 1863. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 38, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Napoleon's wife was Alexandrina Piette, who was 36 years old. Alexandrina was born in Quebec in 1865. She also identified her heritage as French. Napoleon and Alexandrina had 7 children, all girls. In 1885 the eldest girl, Marie Louis, was born. One year later, in 1886, when Napoleon was 23 years old and Alexandrina was 21 years old their second daughter, who was named Délia, was born. Then, in 1888, with their two older daughters ages 3 years and 2 years, their third daughter, Aldie, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child, Alberta, was born. With four other daughters in the household, their fifth child, Anna, was born in 1891. She was followed by 2 more children: their daughter Malvina, born in 1893; and their daughter Lida, born in 1895. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Piette family household was filled with 7 daughters whose ages were 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, and 16 years.
