A Forest family household of at least 12 members residing in the district of L'Assomption was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Antoine Forest, was born in Quebec in 1859. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 42, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Antoine's wife was Albina Forest, who was 36 years old. Albina was born in Quebec in 1864. She also identified her heritage as French. Antoine and Albina had 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls. In 1886 their eldest child, a boy named George, was born. One year later, in 1887, when Antoine was 28 years old and Albina was 23 years old their second son, who was named Mederic, was born. Then, in 1890, with their two older sons ages 4 years and 3 years, their third son, Cloè, was born. Antoine and Albina's first daughter was born in 1892 and was named Levina. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and second girl, Labivla, was born in 1893. She was followed by 5 more children: their son Louis, born in 1894; their son Alphonse, born in 1895; their son Arthur, born in 1897; their daughter Berthe, born in 1899; and their son Ehard, born in 1900. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Forest family household was filled with 10 children whose ages were 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, and 14 years.
