A Latour family household of at least 6 members residing in the district of Maisonneuve was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Charles Latour, was born in Quebec in 1842. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 58, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Masson". Charles's wife was Exilia Latour, who was 44 years old. Exilia was born in Quebec in 1856. She also identified her heritage as French. Charles and Exilia had 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. In 1888 their eldest child, a girl named Blanche, was born. Two years later, in 1890, when Charles was 48 years old and Exilia was 34 years old their second child, this time a son, who was named Charles Emèle, was born. Then, in 1892, with their two children ages 4 years and 2 years, their third child, François Xavier, was born. In 1901 another son, their fourth child and third boy, Joseph Elzéar, was born. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Latour family household was filled with 4 children whose ages were 6, 8, 10, and 12 years.
