A Forest family household of at least 12 members residing in the district of Provencher was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Napoleon Forest, was born in Quebec in 1862. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 39, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Napoleon's wife was Lumina Forest, who was 35 years old. Lumina was born in Quebec in 1866. She also identified her heritage as French. Napoleon and Lumina had 10 children, 3 boys and 7 girls. In 1886 their eldest child, a girl named Amanda, was born. One year later, in 1887, when Napoleon was 25 years old and Lumina was 21 years old their second daughter, who was named Rosealba, was born. Then, in 1888, with their two older daughters ages 2 years and 1 year, their third daughter, Doréa, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child, Rose, was born. With four other daughters in the household, their fifth child, Palmire, was born in 1893. She was followed by 5 more children: their son Omer, born in 1894; their daughter Eveline, born in 1895; their son Origéne, born in 1897; their daughter Evonne, born in 1898; and their son Wilfréd, born in 1900. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Forest family household was filled with 10 children whose ages were 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, and 15 years.
