A Forest family household of at least 8 members residing in the district of Richmond was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Charlie Forest, was born in "W Arichat" in 1859. He identified his heritage as French. By 1901, at the age of 41, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Fisher". Charlie's wife was Philomene Forest, who was 33 years old. Philomene was born in Nova Scotia in 1868. She also identified her heritage as French. Charlie and Philomene had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. In 1887 their eldest child, a girl named Celina, was born. Two years later, in 1889, when Charlie was 30 years old and Philomene was 21 years old their second child, this time a son, who was named Charlie, was born. Then, in 1892, with their two children ages 5 years and 3 years, their third child, Anna, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child and third girl, Marie, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and second boy, Albert, was born in 1898. He was followed by 1 more child: their son John Bapbtist, born in 1900. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Forest family household was filled with 6 children whose ages were 1, 2, 5, 9, 11, and 13 years.
