A Clark family household of at least 8 members residing in the district of York (New Brunswick) was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Frank H Clark, was born in New Brunswick in 1854. He identified his heritage as English. By 1901, at the age of 46, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Hotel Keeper". Frank's wife was Annie J Clark, who was 47 years old. Annie was born in New Brunswick in 1853. She also identified her heritage as English. Frank and Annie had 6 children, a boy and 5 girls. In 1880 their eldest child, a girl named Bessie, was born. Two years later, in 1882, when Frank was 28 years old and Annie was 29 years old their second daughter, who was named Marthe, was born. Then, in 1884, with their two older daughters ages 4 years and 2 years, their third daughter, Bertie, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child, Alice, was born. With four other daughters in the household, their fifth child, Nellie, was born in 1890. She was followed by 1 more child: their son Frank, born in 1897. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Clark family household was filled with 6 children whose ages were 3, 10, 13, 16, 19, and 21 years.
