Krolik Name Meaning
Polish (Królik): from a diminutive of Polish król ‘king’ (see Krol ). Polish (Królik): nickname from królik ‘rabbit’. This word originated as an attempted calque on Low German dialect Kuniklīn ‘rabbit’ being misinterpreted as a diminutive of König although in fact it is from the unrelated Latin word cuniculus. Jewish (eastern Ashkenazic): artificial name from Russian and Yiddish krolik ‘rabbit’ (compare 2 above).
