About Beuthen, Germany, Jewish Deportees, 1942

Prior to World War II, about 3,500 Jews lived in Beuthen, Upper Silesia, Germany (now Bytom, Poland). In May and June of 1942, approximately 1,000 Jews were deported to unknown destinations. This collection, which may have been prepared by the Gestapo, contains the names of those deported.
