This collection includes mortality schedules for the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec from 1871.

Mortality schedules are registers of deaths that have been recorded at the national level, usually corresponding with a census. This collection covers deaths which occurred during the 12 months prior to the census enumeration. The age given in the census was rounded up to what would have been the deceased's age at his or her next birthday.

Records vary, but mortality schedule records may include:
