Having just gone through the population schedule, I find no names followed by a lowercase "r."

There are many families with multiple members each having the same surname. Those following the first writing of the name have "do" for ditto (same as above) after their forename. Is that what you are seeing?

No, its diffidently lower case r's. The r's are right after the first names of the others in the household. Ive attached the file for you to see. Its on multiple pages

It is NOT a lower case "r."
It is "do" for ditto.
I can't explain it any more clearly. I have looked at literally tens of thousands of population schedules. The handwriting may be sloppy, but there is no doubting what it is. ,You can believe me or not, but that is what it is.
