My surname is White. I've only been doing genealogy a couple years and haven't worked much on the paternal side of my tree (The White's). But have put many hours into the maternal side. Which now strikes my interest and wondering if we are somehow related. I found myself reading your story and reached up to touch 'my white mole'. My mother used to say I had a 'beauty mark' because of it's location. Mom always said woman would crave to have that 'raised' mole, instead of having to 'dot' it on with make-up to give them sex appeal and hope they get it in the same spot every time. I remember in the older movies (20's all the way through the 50's) I often wondered why so many woman were born with the mole in the same spot and so dark. Wasn't until I was older I realized that the eyebrow pencil was their friend. Unlike your 'White Family' my mole is on the opposite side of my cheek. On the right. If I take my finger, turn it sideways and place it adjacent with my nostril it fit's perfectly between my nostril and the 'white mole'. I never gave it much thought about being 'WHITE' until I read your story. Thanks for sharing.
