This database contains information transcribed from marriages records for a few towns in Belarus, primarily, Minsk (1921) and Mogilev (1857-1891).
These records were originally created by the Jewish Congregations of the various towns where the records were recorded.
Each record contains the following information:
- Name: Names of bride and groom
- Birthplace: Birthplaces of bride and groom
- Father's names: Names of the bride's and groom's fathers (otchestvo)
- Age: Ages of bride and groom at time of marriage
- Marriage place: Place where the registration was signed
- Marriage date: According to Christian and Hebrew calendars
- Rabbi: Who signed the marriage contract
- Witnesses: Names appeared in actual marriage registration
- Record publication
- Film number: LDS Family History Library film number
- Frame number: Frame number from the CD created by the LDS for the Belarus SIG
- Record: M - for marriage, numbers are actual number of registration
