Fukunaga Family History

Japanese: written 福永 ‘blessed longevity’. It is most common in western Japan and the Ryūkyū Islands.

There are several unrelated families bearing this name from widely separated places such as Awa (now Tokushima prefecture), Hyūga (now Miyazaki prefecture), and a family descended from the Sasaki of Ōmi (now Shiga prefecture).
