Siddall Family History

Siddall Surname Meaning

English (Lancashire and Yorkshire): habitational name presumably from either Siddal in Middleton (Lancashire) or from Siddal in Southowram (Yorkshire). Both places appear to have been named with Old English sīd ‘large spacious long’ + halh ‘nook corner of land’; however the surname is recorded earlier than either of the places.
