Takahashi Name Meaning

Japanese: variously written, usually with characters meaning ‘high bridge’, it is one of the ten most common surnames and is particularly frequent in eastern Japan. It is the name of an ancient family of Kyushu island. Various legends concerning origin suggest several unrelated families. The name is also found in the Ryukyu Islands.
